The scope of this project is to develop a Mountain Bike Strategy to guide the development of mountain bike trails and associated facilities within the City of Albury.
The objectives of the AlburyCity Mountain Bike Strategy are to develop a strategic document that:
· Considers the social and community values associated with mountain bike riding in the area;
· Is environmentally sensitive and sustainable;
· Provides best practice and cost-effective construction/maintenance recommendations;
· Considers land tenure complexity, and streamlines assessments and statutory approvals;
· Explores opportunities for economic benefit associated with mountain bike tourism;
· Provides community benefit and engagement; and,
· Clearly defines deliverables/actions that can be included in future works programs.
