AccessCare Kingston is part of City of Kingston and provides support to older frail aged people and people with a disability living at home in the community.
AccessCare has a Package Care team which requires after-hours service. The Package Care team includes Home Care Packages (HCP) and Linkages clients. As of July 2020, there are 466 consumers with a package.
AccessCare has a large CHSP services however this team does not require an afterhours service. However due to AccessCare's single phone contact, when the phone is diverted there may be times when calls come through to the afterhours services. No action will be required other than an email message and to escalate the rare concern to the AccessCare After-hours team.
We estimate these escalated calls to be minimal e.g. there has not been one required to date for 2020. Current estimation of email messages to be passed to business hours is 40 per month.
