Tender Details
Tender Description
Tenders are invited for a strategic assessment of the proposed upgrade of Heathcote Road located between Junction Road and the M5 Motorway, Moorebank. The proposed upgrade will look at options to improve road congestion due to the pinch point located just north of the M5, improve road safety and reduce current crash rates.
This key north-south transport link provides connectivity between Holsworthy and Liverpool and will support the development for the proposed Greater Sydney Commission Collaboration Area Place Strategy for Liverpool.
The purpose of the study is to develop a strategic route corridor for the upgrade of Heathcote Road, focused on a 300 metre long section between Junction Road and the M5 Motorway which is currently a two lane undivided road. The investigation will consider the upgrade of this section to a four (4) lane road (two (2) lanes in each direction) to remain consistent with the whole length of Heathcote Road.
The key output of this study is the development of a preferred route option and strategic design for Heathcote Road between Junction Road and the M5 Motorway at Moorebank.
The purpose of this brief is to engage a suitably qualified and experienced professional services contractor (PSC) to provide services in the development of the strategic design for the 300m section of Heathcote Road between Junction Road and the M5 Motorway at Moorebank which is currently one lane in each direction.
Key tasks required of the brief will involve the identification of major engineering and environmental constraints, development and assessment of route options and recommendation of a preferred route option.
The study area is located within the Liverpool local government area, approximately 25 km south-west of Sydney. The study area is approximately 300m long, beginning at Junction Road and ending just north of the M5 Motorway at Moorebank.
