Tender Description
The Department of Environment and Science (DES) is seeking the services of an offset provider to identify, legally secure and manage offset project site(s) as or on behalf of landholder(s) to benefit environmental matters.
The Environmental Offset Account is administered by the Department of Environment and Science (DES) and has the express purpose of providing funding for the delivery of environmental offsets to achieve conservation outcomes for impacted matters. Over the past four (4) years, DES has received a number of payments into the Offset Account for impacts on koala habitat, squatter pigeon habitat, regulated vegetation and connectivity in the Brigalow Belt Bioregion that are prescribed environmental matters under the Environmental Offsets Act 2014. The goal of this environmental offset project is to maintain the status quo of the impacted prescribed environmental matter as if the development and offset had not occurred.
