General Description
The Victorian Government is seeking supply of various locally manufactured medical equipment and PPE to meet increased demand due to the COVID-19 pandemic. An Expression of Interest (EOI) is being called for the local manufacture and supply of:
- Hospital scrubs - reusable
- Input materials (e.g. fabric) for the supply into scrubs
Expressions of Interest: The Victorian Government encourages local businesses interested in supplying the Victorian Government (via its laundry services) with re-usable hospital scrubs and/or input materials to register their interest (EOI) through the ICN Victoria Gateway webpage.
Specific scope requirements: As at 16 April 2020, the Victorian Government is coordinating the further purchase of local manufactured hospital scrubs by its laundry service providers over the following several months.
The specifications for scrubs will be made available to respondents directly from the individual line and laundry service providers. However, please note that the material used must be able to withstand laundry temperatures of 50 degrees and above.
Input materials for hospital scrubs: If you can supply input materials for the manufacturing of scrubs, please register your interest on this site.
Further requirements: Manufacturers are required to be Ethical Clothing Australia accredited, so if not currently accredited, suppliers should apply for accreditation as soon as their supply chain is established.
EOI opens: 16 April 2020
EOI closes: 1 May 2020
