Tender Description
The tender calls for the demolition of the existing shed and construction of new sports facility at the Arundel Street Benalla Ovals Sports Precinct.
Contract Period
The contract period will be from 30 June to 20 December 2020.
Pre-tender site inspection (compulsory)
Respondents are advised to visit the site to carry out an inspection considered necessary to establish the extent of the work. No claim for extra payment or for extension of time will be allowed on the grounds that the contractor was not conversant with the nature and extent of the work, or had encountered unexpected difficulty during the course of the work which could have been avoided by a closer examination of the site.
A compulsory pre-tender site inspection will be provided on the following day:
10am Wednesday 15 April 2020
The assembly point for the pre-tender inspection will be at the entrance gate near the Benalla Showgrounds Recreation Reserve located off intersection of Arundel Street and Maud Street.
Attendees are to ensure that they are wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. steel cap boots, high visibility vests, etc).
Attendees will be given a mandatory safety site induction and will then be escorted to the relevant location for the intended works.
Registration for the pre-tender inspection is required and is to be made prior to 5pm Tuesday 14 April 2020 by emailing the name of attendees and a contact phone number to Council’s Contracts and Procurement Coordinator, Judith Bird at judith.bird@benalla.vic.gov.au
