Cleaning, Maintenance & Litter Collection Services at Point Lowly (3+3 Years)

⁠⁠⁠THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF WHYALLA (the Council) invites tenders from Tenderers for the provision of Cleaning, Maintenance & Litter Collection Services for the Point Lowly Lighthouse Cottages, Point Lowly Marina, Sida Cove and Cuttlefish Drive public toilets. The Council will enter into a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer.

• The Whyalla Council have three public toilet facilities at Pt Lowly marina and Sida Cove which have cold shower facilities and a third toilet and change room facility at Cuttlefish Drive. The Marina facility is often utilised by visitors and tourists camping at the adjacent permit operated camping areas. All facilities are open 24 hours.
• The Whyalla Council is the owner of the Pt Lowly Lighthouse Cottages, two heritage listed houses built in 1883 which are available for holiday accommodation. Each cottage sleeps up to 29 people, with 3 bedrooms, a sleep-out, lounge room, kitchen, foyer and bathroom. An outhouse building has a laundry, a second toilet and 2 showers. There is also an added building available for hire which is a large open recreation area with tables and chairs.
• The purpose of the Cleaning, Maintenance & Litter Collection Services is to ensure that the whole of the premises and facilities, furnishings, fittings and surrounding environment shall present a thoroughly functional, safe, clean and hygienic appearance to the general public and the conditions detailed in the Specification are to be observed in their entirety.
• A contractual agreement will be prepared.
• This contract will run for a period of 3 years until the 30 June 2023, with the option of a 3 year right of renewal subject to Council's approval and dependent upon Council providing funds in the subsequent budgets. Council will provide a 6 month notice of its intent regarding the right of renewal.
