Tender Description
The Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES) enables STCs to be created for new PV systems, solar water heaters and air-sourced heat pumps. The Clean Energy Regulator (CER) uses modelling (estimates) of STC creations as an input for calculating the annual Small-scale Technology Percentage (STP). The STP determines how many STCs a liable entity is required to surrender to the CER each year to meet its SRES obligations.
The CER uses modelling of PV system and battery installations and capacity to help understand market developments and inform the market through CER publications such as the Quarterly Carbon Market Report.
