Tender Description
Tathra Wind Farm is a proposed hybrid power generation facility, to be constructed in phases up to:
- 140 Wind Turbine Generators (WTG), up to 1,000 MW;
- Solar energy, up to 500 MW; and
- Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), up to 500 MW.
Synergy is seeking to undertake a competitive sourcing process for BESS requirements for stage 1 of the Tathra Wind Farm. This includes 250 MW for 6 to 8 hours.

All registered parties will be invited to respond to the Synergy Expression of Interest (EOI) document for the initial stage of this BESS procurement process.
The EOI for BESS stage 1 has the following indicative timelines:
- EOI registration period 30 April to 22 May 2026
- EOI document release date 11 May 2026
- Closing date for EOI responses 01 June 2026
