Scope of work
Structural Integrity (SI) maintenance inspection plans have been developed by the Asset Management and Engineering Services team (AMES). Every fixed plant asset on every RTIO mine site is inspected on 5 - 10 year cycle, depending on the criticality of the asset. Over the last two years, inspections have been completed on RT Mine Sites in the West Pilbara region.
This proposed Scope is for the Structural Integrity Remediation programme in the Tom Price High Grade Screen House. The works will involve:
a) Replacing or repair of degraded structural members, beams and plates;
b) Repairs to corrosion protection coatings;
c) Reinstatement of walkways, platforms, handrails, grating, floor plate and guarding;
d) Concrete repairs;
e) Installation of an additional outer skin to the bin walls; and
f) Installation of building structural bracing
The works will involve online and shutdown works and may include risks such as (but not limited) to hot work, working at heights, confined space entry and hazardous paint.
