UNSW is currently undertaking a large IT transformation program called Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) that will transition communications services to a cost effective, scalable and highly available managed solution.
The primary objective of this project is to maintain the high standard of safety and care across UNSW campuses for our students and staff.
UNSW has a number of Auxiliary device endpoints (Lift phones, Help Points, OHS phones and Monitoring systems) that are directly connected to the UNSW NEC PABX via analogue station circuit cards.
A separate project is in progress that will see this PABX decommissioned by the end of June 2020, with faculty telephony users being migrated to Microsoft Teams.
UNSW requires a managed service to provide telephony services to Auxiliary Device Endpoints which meets its functional and non-functional requirements
