School Sport Victoria Apparel

⁠⁠⁠School Sport Victoria (SSV) operates under the auspices of the Department of Education & Training. Membership is open to all Victorian schools from years 4-12. Over 2,400 government, catholic and independent, primary and secondary schools are affiliated with SSV.

SSV core business is:

• Coordination of inter school sport from district through to state championships throughout Victoria.
• Coordination of 40 state teams across 18 sports under the banner of Team Vic that compete in national championships under the auspices of School Sport Australia.
• To provide professional development opportunities for Victorian teachers in event management and team coaching
• To advocate for the importance of physical education and school sport in all Victorian schools.
• To work closely with state sporting organisations to develop links between schools and clubs.

SSV conducts the following inter school sports annually:

• Australian Football - Baseball - Badminton - Basketball - Cricket
• Cross Country - Football/Soccer - Golf - Hockey - Lawn bowls
• Netball - Softball - Diving - Swimming - Table Tennis
• Tee Ball - Tennis - Track & Field - Volleyball

To service the above sports, over 340 region, division and district coordinators are appointed. These coordinators are outfitted with a SSV polo shirt and cap. They have the option to purchase a tracksuit, shorts, socks, winter jacket and other SSV apparel items.

Each year SSV selects representative teams to participate in School Sport Australia Championships, under the banner of Team Vic. Over 900 players and 120 officials are involved in Team Vic. Each team member (player and official) requires the Team Vic walk out uniform of track suit, polo shirts, caps, shorts, socks, bag, drink bottle. In addition, each team member requires a competition uniform appropriate to their sport. Garment sizes will vary from child’s J8 through to 3XL, as player ages can range from 10 years to 18 years.
