SGW seeks consultancy services to review its current organisational structure and make change recommendations to the Senior Management Team, comprised of the Managing Director and four General Managers.
A 2023 planning horizon is in operation within the organisation, and recommendations should have this in mind along with the range of other customer and stakeholder expectations.
An approach 'beyond boxes and lines' is sought, that understands the importance of unique strengths and context applicable to SGW, and which recognises the interdependence of structure, facilities, technology, business processes and people in enabling organisational outcomes.
Emphasis should be made on operating models underpinning structure and the culture of the organisation in terms of operation of the formal structure.
Respondents should have a sound and recent knowledge of equivalent organisations, the regulatory and government policy environment SGW operates in, and an ability to apply an appropriately scaled methodology. Experience working with organisational structures in like water businesses will be well regarded.
Development of metrics to enable measurement of the achievement of change objectives associated with structure changes recommended are sought, drawn from an agreed rationale for those changes.
Finally, an implementation roadmap is sought at the point a final structure recommendation is made, inclusive of risks and recommended mitigations.
