Several Senior Test Analyst

⁠⁠⁠The Department of Home Affairs requires the services of several experienced Senior Test Analysts to work in the Enterprise Testing and Systems Assurance section to support the Immigration & Citizenship Unified Environment (ICUE) and Visa programs.
The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to:
• Accepting responsibility for creation of test cases using own in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications;
• Creating traceability records, from test cases back to requirements;
• Producing test scripts to test new and amended software or services;
• Specifying requirements for environment, data, resources and tools. Interpret, execute and document complex test scripts using agreed methods and standards;
• Interpreting, executing and documenting complex test scripts using agreed methods and standards;
• Recording and analysing actions and results, and maintain a defect register;
• Reviewing test results and modifies tests where necessary;
• Providing reports and input on progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with the overall project;
• Reporting on system quality and collecting metrics on test cases;
• Providing specialist advice to support others;
• Supervising specialist consultancy on any aspect of information or communication technology, technique, method, product or application area;
• Providing expertise and support on use of methods and tools;
• Working with multiple stakeholder groups with different needs, views and competing priorities;
• Supporting the development of effective working relationships with stakeholders and including qualities such as ethics, trustworthiness and personal organisation;
• Utilising team and/or technical leadership skills to achieve the identified work area outcomes;
• Developing positive team ethos within the immediate workgroup through positive participation and communication service requirements.

Specified Personnel will be expected to transfer skills and knowledge to departmental staff and ensure appropriate documentation is stored in accordance with the Department’s recordkeeping policy and practices.

The Specified Personnel will also be responsible for producing the following deliverables, including but not limited to:
• Preparation and development of test scripts;
• Test progress reports;
• Test summary plans;
• Detailed test plans and risk assessments.
