Expressions of Interest open to lease Former Winchelsea Shire Hall

⁠⁠⁠Surf Coast Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest to lease the Former Winchelsea Shire Hall to a tenant which will meet the community’s vision for the former Shire Hall to be the ‘heart of the town’.

Open until 28 February 2020, the expressions of interest (EOI) process invites applications from a commercial operator or community group/s that can manage the historic hall and run activities that benefit the community.

The Former Winchelsea Shire Hall Community Working Group – made up of five local residents who consulted with the broader community – developed the criteria that will assess applications. It is based on the community vision for the hall to be an active and inclusive place, supporting community connection and contributing to a vibrant town centre.

Potential applicants should demonstrate:

• a passion for Winchelsea and district
• knowledge of its natural, economic, social, cultural and physical assets
• knowledge of its people and networks and
• a track record of delivering activities that provide community benefit.
