Tender Description

Summary: The hydraulic services are summarised in the following sections.

Extent: The extent of work covered by these documents includes the manufacture, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and subsequent maintenance as detailed in this specification and on the accompanying drawings.

Water Services

General: Provide water services summarised as follows:

Domestic cold water distribution system(s).
Isolation systems to enable local shutdown of equipment.
Backflow prevention devices/systems to mitigate the risk of cross-connection. This includes services supplying the overall site
Valved branches to serve miscellaneous equipment.
Hose taps with vacuum breakers.
Pressure reducing systems where necessary to reduce the water pressure to an acceptable level.
Water meters as documented.

Sanitary plumbing and drainage

General: Provide the sanitary plumbing and drainage services summarised as follows:

Connection to the local infrastructure.
Sanitary plumbing and drainage system and associated venting.
Sewage pumping systems.
Wastewater treatment systems (including industrial or greasy trade waste).
Monitoring and metering associated with wastewater systems.
Access provisions to sanitary plumbing and drainage systems.
Discharge points for all equipment.
Systems to prevent wastewater surcharge within the building.

Fixtures and fittings

General: Provide fixtures and fittings summarised as follows:

All necessary connectors, brackets and fastenings required to complete the installation.
Flow restrictors to limit flow rates to an acceptable level to eliminate undue splashing and/or to achieve reduced design flows.
Apply sealant/caulking at the mounting surface junctions.

Existing Services

General: Undertake:

Location and investigation of existing services.
Demolition of existing services.
Rerouting/diversion of existing services.

Notice: Where existing services must be isolated (e.g. cutting-in or diversion), arrange with the Principal to carry out the works at a time causing least inconvenience to the building occupants.

Provide 48 hours notice prior to execution of the works.

Redundant services: Remove from site.
