The Project Manager, reporting to the Project Director - ICT Strategic Projects Branch, is responsible for planning and managing delivery of a Strategic ICT Projects. The role will initially be responsible for the NDIA Participant Mobile App which will be delivered through a business partner (an open procurement process).

The project manager will undertake the following:

1. Define project scope, requirements and acceptance criteria

2. Develop and maintain project documentation throughout the project life cycle. Including project schedule, project management plan, external costing request, communications plan, test plan and change plan.

3. Manage project related procurement activities, including drafting of required artefacts and running vendor submissions, in accordance with the Commonwealth Resource Management Framework, agency polices with oversite by the OCIO Business Manager.

4. Identify, assess and manage project dependencies, risks issues and escalate appropriately as circumstances dictate.

5. Develop and maintain realistic project schedules and resourcing plans for whole of project life cycle.

6. Provide regular and accurate reports and updates to the communication plan to stakeholders including ICT Committee and the CIO as required.

7. Establish a collaborative working culture and environment with the project team and stakeholders.

8. Establish effective working relationships with project sponsors and relevant business teams. Including DHS and their Delivery teams to ensure a smooth implementation and effective engagement in the projects delivery.

9. Plan and manage periodic project and stakeholder review meetings (as per agreed communications and governance models) to ensure up to date communication of project status.

10. Provide effective leadership to the project to the project team and take appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances.

The suite of projects managed by ICT Strategic Project Branch are enhancements to the agencies SAP CRM; and ICT initiatives to improve internal / external stakeholder user experience and effectiveness of service delivery of the NDIA .
