This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
ASIC seeks to procure contractor services for a Data Platform Support Engineer for a period of 6 months / 132 business days with an option to extend for a further 6 months for the Data & Analytics Hub project.
The Data and Analytics Hub provides a wide range of services to all business units within ASIC and is responsible for supporting existing infrastructure pending deployment of the Data Lake, including transfer of existing functionality to the Data Lake.
The Data Platform Support Engineer will:
•Support resolution of Microsoft SQL Server incidents and integration processes
•Support business units with data uploads including resolution of incidents
•Oversee data transfer processes
•Co-ordinate and act as the point of contact for service requests relating to Qlik Sense, R, Python, and Team Foundation Server (TFS) environments
•Assist with the roll-out of Data Marts.
The core skillset is SQL with, at a minimum, the ability to become versed in the Qlik Sense, R, and Python environments.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
•3+ years' hands on experience as an ETL developer using MS Integration Services SSIS
•Extensive MS SQL / T-SQL coding experience
•Experience with Visual Studio Data Tools in a source-controlled environment, ideally using GIT
•Exposure to Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and Dev Ops, automated builds and deployment
•Strong interpersonal, communication and people skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Experience in resolving complex client and stakeholder related queries
