Tender Description
Contribute to shaping the College’s historic library and apply to be a member of the Library, Collections and Cultural Heritage (LCCH) Committee.
The LCCH Committee has been established to oversee the College's collection of books, old medical instruments, portraits, paintings and extensive archival collection.
The LCCH Committee will continue to develop the History of Medicine Library and annually review the strategy, policies and guidelines associated with the management of the library as well as support initiatives to improve the use of the library.
Responsibilities of the Committee:
- review asset valuation assessments and provide guidance for retention or removal of assets
- make recommendations for embedding the resources into other College activities such as emerging policies, training and Congress
- explore the relevance of library and cultural heritage resources for strategic planning and policy and advocacy priorities
- support the ongoing collection of library and cultural heritage resources
Members are required to attend a minimum of 2 teleconferences per year.
