Tender Description
Expressions of interest are open for a Fellow to join the South Australian Regional Committee.
There is 1x position open for a Fellow who resides in South Australia.
Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:
- contribute regional perspectives to College policy development
- represent both national and local policy and advocacy matters
- representing the College in the media on local issues
- plan events that support the local membership, such as the Annual Scientific Meeting
Recent advocacy endeavours in SA:
- No Jab No Play
- Abortion law reform
- Rural Health Medical Workforce Plan
- Supporting free ambulance access for refugees
The position ends in May 2020, with the appointed representative eligible to apply for a 2-year term at that time. The SA Regional Committee meets 4 to 6 times a year.
