Are you an experienced evaluator, with knowledge of health program delivery in Timor-Leste and Papua New Guinea?

Marie Stopes International Australia (MSIA) and WaterAid are seeking a senior consultant to conduct an evaluation of the ‘Keeping Girls in School through Reproductive and Menstrual Health’ program.

You will have proven experience in conducting evaluations and deep knowledge gender analysis, Sexual, Reproductive Health (SRH) and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH).

In 2017, Marie Stopes International Australia (MSIA) and WaterAid began implementing an integrated menstrual hygiene management (MHM) and SRH program in Timor-Leste and Papua New Guinea: Keeping Girls in School through Improved Reproductive and Menstrual Health funded by the Australian Government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program’s Gender Action Platform (GAP). The project aims to address two interrelated issues – unwanted pregnancy and menstrual health and hygiene (MHH) – which are critical to girls’ ability to be healthy, educated and empowered.

The evaluation will document and evaluate the results and impact of the keeping girls in school program and provide insights for future national program improvement and model replication through document review, data analysis and stakeholder interviews.

What we need you to do is:

  • Develop an evaluation protocol
  • Lead an inception meeting with MSI and Wateraid teams in both Timor-Leste and PNG
  • Conduct the evaluation as agreed with data collection in both Timor-Leste and PNG
  • Produce a written report
  • Update the evaluation report with end of project data
