Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Tenders are invited from suitably qualified contractors for the construction of the civil and site works.


This Contract comprises of the civil's works associated with the South Waikato District Council Waste transfer station development as defined on the Drawings and within this Specification including, but not limited to:

  • Clearing and removal of all trees and obstacles within the limits of the resource recovery site including demolition of existing small buildings:
  • Stripping of topsoil to stockpile
  • Cut to fill and cut to waste earthworks to form subgrade level
  • Construction of pavements in AC, concrete and chip seal
  • Construction of concrete "Green Waste area" including concrete apron and side walls
  • Uplift from Council depot and relocate kiosk building to site including preparing foundations
  • Construction of miscellaneous stormwater pipelines, channels and flumes and sanitary drainage pipelines
  • Supply and install sewerage to transfer building and kiosk
  • Pavement markings and signage
  • Security fencing
  • Construct reinforced concrete pit for weighbridge
  • Relocate existing weighbridge
  • Construct blockwork bund for oil collection tank
  • Landscaping including re-spreading of topsoil and grassing.
  • In addition to the above the Contract Works include:
  • Preparing, implementing and managing the Contract Quality Plan according to the Project Specification.
  • General requirements, programming and reporting according to Project Specification.
  • Site safety, traffic management and environmental compliance activities according to Project Specification.

Scope of works specifically excluded are:

· Design and construction of the main waste transfer building.
