Tender Description
Parkes Shire Council (PSC) owns and manages its own sewerage infrastructure, including sewer networks, pump stations, and treatment, reuse and disposal facilities. To assist with monitoring and modelling the sewerage schemes of Parkes and surrounding villages, flow sensors fitted with telemetered data loggers have been installed at strategic locations within the sewage catchments. Rain gauges have also been installed to complement the sewer flow monitoring. The flow sensors and rain gauges all transmit data to a Parkes Shire Council server, which stores, processes and displays the data.
The monitoring hardware needs regular servicing, maintenance and assessment to ensure that data collected remains contiguous and accurate.
Parkes Shire Council requests quotations from suitably qualified and experienced organisations for the ongoing sewer flow hardware assets servicing, calibration and troubleshooting. Detailed Application currently being progressed by the Project Management Office (PMO). It is desirable the successful applicant will have:
1. Extensive and proven practical experience in working with remote environmental monitoring equipment and sewerage infrastructure.
2. Understanding of sewerage hydraulics and operability of flow sensors, rain gauges, data loggers and 3G/4G telemetry.
3. Capability and experience of working in sewer manholes and confined spaces.
4. A tangible presence in the area, having previously provided Technical Support Services in the PSC Local Government Area &/or CENTROC Region.
