Silverdale Estate - Sound Walls

⁠⁠⁠The scope of work under the Proposed Contract includes:

• The design of a 5 meter tall noise barrier beginning at least 85 meters east of the eastern boundary of 2 Sandstock Place and terminating at the Western boundary of 24 Cotton Field Way (total 410 meters in length);
• The design of a 3.8 meter tall noise barrier continuing from the 5 meter tall noise barrier and terminating at the western boundary of 50 Cotton Field Way (total 180 meters in length);
• The barrier should be constructed in accordance with Vic Roads Design Criteria for Noise Barriers (Vic Roads 2006);
• Wall to be aesthetically consistent with Melton City Council’s existing noise walls;
• Wall to include:
• Translucent and transparent sections of wall preserving light and views from residential areas
• Anti-graffiti surface treatment
• Planting to screen of noise walls.
