Construction of Road Train Assembly Area on Madigan Rd (SLK 0.400) and Overtaking Lane on North West Coastal Hwy (SLK 1114.690 to 1116.790)

⁠⁠⁠The scope comprises the construction of:
i. A Road Train Assembly Area on Madigan Road near the intersection with North West Coastal Highway in Karratha, including widening works on Madigan Road; and
ii. A 2.1km northbound Overtaking Lane on North West Coastal Highway between SLK 1114.69 and SLK 1116.79 near Karratha.

Pre-qualification: Tenderers must be pre-qualified with Main Roads Roadworks category R2

“The Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016 (Building Code) applies to the building work associated with this project. By submitting an expression of interest in, or tender for, this project, you will become subject to the Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016. Refer to the Building Code at employment.gov.au/building-code for further information.”

“It is a requirement of this project that any persons contracted to undertake the building work be accredited under the Australian Government Building and Construction WHS Accreditation Scheme established by the Building and Construction Industry Improvement Act 2016, at the time of the [EOI, RFP or Tender] closing for the building work and while the building work is being carried out.

Tenderers intending to submit a bid as a Joint Venture must review the additional requirements as outlined by Section 26(1)(f) of the Fair Work (Building Industry – Accreditation Scheme) Regulation 2016 by the Federal Safety Commission (located at http://www.fsc.gov.au).”
