RFQ - Events Fireworks Dee Why and Manly Christmas Choral Concert

⁠⁠⁠As part of the delivery of the annual calendar of Events, Council requires the provision of fireworks displays at two events: Christmas Choral Concert at Manly Oval and New Year's Eve at Dee Why Beach.

Council is seeking responses from suitably qualified contractors to carry out the following outline scope of works:
2019 Christmas Choral Concert at Manly Oval, Manly.

Provision of minimum five-minute fireworks display at approximately 8.20pm on Thursday 5 December 2019.

Display to take place behind the grandstand at Manly Oval. Display should be of sufficient style, scale, height, design and length as appropriate for the outdoor location and size of the audience (up to 10,000 spectators) which will be locate on the field of Manly Oval, facing towards the grandstand. An additional brief close proximity fireworks effect is also required at approximately 7.30pm during the stage show for the arrival of key performer.
2019 New Year's Eve at Dee Why Beach, Dee Why.

Provision of minimum ten-minute fireworks display at 9pm on Tuesday 31 December 2019.

Display to take place from barge or other appropriate ocean-going vessel, positioned north of Dee Why Rock Pool minimum 200m east of the mean high water mark of Dee Why Beach. Display to be of sufficient style, scale, height, design and length as appropriate for the outdoor location and size of the audience (up to 20,000 spectators) which will be primarily located on Dee Why Beach Foreshore, Headland and a secondary audience at Long Reef Beach.

The works are to be carried out strictly in accordance with the requirements in this document. To have tenders considered, contractors will need to ensure that all required information requested in the Request for Quotation document is provided.

The Contract term will be 18 (eighteen) months, with an extension at Council's option of a further 2 (two) periods of 12 (twelve) months each.

A site briefing will be held on 10 July 2019 at 3.00pm at Manly Oval and 4.00pm at Dee Why Beach.

Tenderers should ensure they review the tender documents and understand the scope of work before attending the briefing.

Quotations close at 2pm on 23rd July 2019 and must be fully received by this time.
