North Coast Primary Health Network (NCPHN) is seeking Expressions of Interest from eligible organisations to enter into a contract for 12 months to employ and host a project officer to support a Local Suicide Prevention Action Committee to develop and implement a Bellingen Local Suicide Prevention Action Plan. There is funding available to support the project officer and implementation of the action plan over the 12 months.
A key component of the Bellingen Local Suicide Prevention Action Plan is increasing the local engagement in the coordination and management of evidence-based strategies to address local community needs and strategies for preventing suicide attempts and deaths among one or more of four high risk populations:
* Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
* Men, particularly in the very high risk age range of 25 to 54 years
* Young people
* Veterans
