Under the Seasonal worker Programme (SWP), Approved Employers are required to conduct “on-arrival” briefings with seasonal workers to ensure that they are aware of working conditions, important contacts, health and well-being matters, accommodation and other relevant matters relating to their employment.

The department intends to produce an On-arrival Digital Product to assist workers and Approved Employers to meet their responsibilities. The product may include film footage, interviews with employers, workers and community groups.

It is anticipated that other agencies, including the Fair Work Ombudsman, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Department of Home Affairs will be consulted during the product development.
