This Contract is for the demolition of the existing remaining wastewater treatment and disposal infrastructure located at the Waitahanui WWTP site and the reinstatement of the site and existing buildings to a reasonable condition for alternative use.
The Principal has already salvaged the equipment from the site that is of any residual value to the Principal, aside from a few minor items (such as padlocks) that remain in place to make the Site safe. The remaining equipment, infrastructure, metalwork, electrical cabling, and other structures (aside from buildings, fencing and roadways) are to be safely demolished, removed from the site and disposed of or recycled by the Contractor.
At the completion of the demolition works the Contractor shall re-contour, topsoil and grass the disturbed areas of the site to leave a tidy, secure grassed site with buildings and roadway intact at expiry of the Defects Liability Period.
