Scope of work
Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) own and operate multiple mine sites across the Pilbara. RTIO have an ongoing requirement for maintenance on its existing fleet of approximately 40 fixed rockbreakers in accordance with the relevant maintenance tactics. This includes, but is not limited to, hydraulic servicing, changing out booms, pin and bush assemblies, hammer replacement and position sensors replacement.
Details
RTIO will require the service provider to, when requested:
* provide maintenance personnel for maintenance tasks
* provide replacement parts where required;
* undertake maintenance tasks at required intervals;
* storage of rock breakers at the service providers depot
* provide a dedicated resource to maintain and optimise the OEM remote rock breaking solution and rock breaking hardware, and
* provide competent personnel to maintain the remote rock breaking functional safety system hardware
The following attributes of the services required are of the utmost importance to RTIO, and the ability to demonstrate all of them will be crucial in the tender award:
1. safety performance of the provider
2. Health, Safety, Environment system compatible with RTIO standards;
3. cycle time performance for each delivery nomination;
4. visibility of where equipment is currently located throughout the process;
5. quality of services and
6. transparent cost management

The scope of work is a summary description of services that may be required by Rio Tinto and may be subject to change in Rio Tinto’s absolute discretion.
