Project Management of City Heritage Study of Activity Street Precincts S1-S9

⁠⁠⁠The Council of the City of Sydney requests tenders for the project management of a series of Heritage Studies of Activity Street Precincts S1 to S9. The term 'activity street' (or similarly 'main street') relates to the principal business streets of the villages that comprise the City of Sydney, where most of the shops and other businesses are located.

The purpose of this RFT is to invite submissions from consultants who wish to be engaged to act as the Project Manager for the quotation and delivery of the Heritage Study of each Activity Street Precinct S2 to S9, and for the remaining project management tasks associated with the delivery of the Heritage Study for Activity Street Precinct S1 which is currently at Tender stage.

The Project Manager is to direct heritage consultants engaged by the City to ensure that the objectives of the Heritage Study of each Activity Street Precinct are delivered to the satisfaction of the City. The Heritage Study objectives are to investigate and analyse the historic, physical and comparative context of the activity streets within the precinct, as noted above at 2.1.

For transparency, probity and to help minimise any actual, perceived or potential conflicts of interest, a consultant who is registered as a member of the Heritage Consultancy Services Panel is ineligible to act as the Project Manager under this RFT and is therefore prohibited from lodging a submission under this RFT. Conflicts of interest are to be managed in accordance with City of Sydney protocols.

Tenders close at 11AM AEST on Tuesday 14 May 2019 and submissions must be fully received by this time. Council is not bound to accept the lowest priced Tender or all or any part of a Tender and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit.
