Tender Description
The quotation shall be for the provision of services to undertake community environmental engagement and on-ground environmental works over a 2 year period. The responsibilities of the Contractor will include the following:
Community Engagement & Volunteer Management
1. Host environmental events such as tree planting days and encourage volunteers to participate;
2. Encourage volunteers to assist with maintaining existing revegetation projects;
3. Promote the activities using a range of media and communication tools;
4. Recruit and induct new volunteers;
5. Develop and retain a network of volunteers;
6. Respond to volunteer enquiries; and
7. Complete all WHS compliance requirements and maintain a volunteer register.
Environmental Activities
1. Carry out on ground works such as revegetation, site preparation, maintenance of existing revegetation, weed control, rubbish collection and erosion control; and
2. Assist Council with the planning, monitoring, reporting and delivery of revegetation projects as required.
Environmental Education
1. Provide education to volunteers and/or students on ecology and environmental management; and
2. Liaise with relevant stakeholders to promote environmental learning and educational outcomes.
