YVW Asset Drawing Management
Tender ID: 381995
Tender Details
Tender Description
Currently there are four essential core systems for asset information and knowledge; SCADA, Maximo, GIS and DocVu. These four core systems are fundamental to deliver the Asset Management Framework and our associated accreditation.
DocVu’s purpose is to store Yarra Valley Water’s as-constructed engineering drawings that contain very detailed information for our assets including; length, depth, size, alignment, materials used, construction method and location. This data is not captured in the other three core systems.
There are approximately 71,000 as-constructed engineering drawings currently stored in DocVu. These cover a range of assets including drinking water, recycled water and sewer pipes, pumping stations, tanks and treatment plants. Drawings of assets that belong to Melbourne Water and other third parties are also stored. Each asset can have a number of drawing types (civil, electrical, etc).
These engineering drawings are critical for activities such as incident management, maintaining assets over the whole life of the asset, constructing new assets and upgrading existing assets.
Drawings are used by internal YVW staff from: Operations, Reactive Maintenance, Programmed and Renewal works, SCADA team, Asset Planning and Asset Creation. External parties including our maintenance contractor Ventia, construction contractors, design consultants and other authorities also use our drawings. These are currently accessed directly from DocVu or indirectly (e.g. manual request via a YVW staff member).
YVW does not usually accept deviations to its standard T&Cs. Any deviations should be detailed in your bid.
