Sydney Metro is requesting tenders to provide Utilities Investigations and Planning Services for the Sydney Metro West project.
The Service Provider is responsible for providing management and oversight of utilities on behalf of Sydney Metro on the Metro West project. The aim is to understand the utilities risk, plan for early works, and provide information for inclusion in tender documents.
The provider will support the development of project-specific utility GIS (Geographic Information System) and BIM (Building Information Model) 3D models, to be made available to tenderers and remain a live document through the life of the project.
The Utilities team will:
* Identify the scope of utility works required to support the project, and will advise on early enabling utility works and assist in the definition of scope for these works.
* Negotiate and seek agreement and co-operation from the utility owners for utility works.
* Support the project team through procurement by helping with digital engineering, preparation of tender documents and information documents pertaining to utility placement and condition.
* Support delivery of any early works which may include high voltage power supplies for tunneling sites, utility diversions, demolition and road and traffic adjustments.
* Be responsible for the negotiation and execution of interface agreements with the appropriate utilities owners if required.
The following roles will be full time for a period of 6 months, with a potential extension of up to a further 12 months:
* 1 Utilities Project Manager
* 1 Utilities Digital Engineering Manager
