Head Contractor - Gerringong Library, Museum and Community Facility Project

 The proposed Gerringong Library, Museum and Community Facility (GLMCF) will be a multi-purpose community facility. The project restores the Heritage School of Arts, making it once again central to community life as it was following its original construction in 1883.
The facility will reflect modern needs to have connectivity to NBN, be accessible and environmentally sustainable, appealing to both locals and tourists and will provide infrastructure to further strengthen the regional tourism and provide access to the cultural heritage of the region.
The project comprises the relocation of the museum into the existing Gerringong School of Arts building which will be modified and extended to meet the users' needs with the revised footprint featuring a shared foyer/display area, meeting room, consulting room and kitchen and bathroom amenities with the library to be located to the rear of the site. There are elements of the School of Arts building that will be demolished and retained for reuse within the building for the heritage aspect of the building.
