Overview
The University of Wollongong (UOW) is developing the UOW Discovery LAB, a fully self-contained, mobile laboratory vehicle designed to deliver curriculum-aligned STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) experiences to students in regional, rural, and remote schools across NSW and ACT. UOW is seeking proposals from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to support the planning, design, and delivery of the Discovery LAB vehicle and fit-out.
About
The Discovery LAB will travel to school sites, operate independently of fixed infrastructure, and be staffed by UOW personnel.
Purpose
The program is grant-funded and supports UOW's equity and widening participation objectives by providing access to tertiary-quality STEM resources in underserved communities.
Scope
The scope includes:
- Planning of the Discovery LAB vehicle
- Design of the Discovery LAB vehicle and fit-out
- Delivery of the Discovery LAB vehicle and fit-out
Contractor Requirements
- Suitably qualified and experienced organisation capable of supporting the planning, design, and delivery of the Discovery LAB vehicle and fit-out
