Community Transport Services in North Sydney

⁠⁠⁠Services to be provided under this Contract comprise transport services on behalf of North Sydney Council to local organisations, individuals and Council programs.

Other services shall be arranged on a regular or casual basis with a view to utilising the resources (vehicles) available to the maximum practical extent. In providing such services priority must be given to passengers who live inside the North Sydney Local Government Area, seniors, people with disabilities, local non-profit community services, children's services and other transport disadvantaged people.

Under the Conditions of tendering, tenderers are required to submit a tender for a contract which will be paid for on the basis of a lump sum annual Management Fee.

An opportunity is provided for Tenderers with local knowledge to recommend services for not-for-profit groups known to be transport disadvantaged and not currently served, as well as for services by for-profit providers whose service fills a gap in community need identified by Council's current Social Plans identified in Schedule 6.

The Contract period is 2 years, with the option for Council, at its sole discretion, to extend the contract for a further 2 years thereafter, subject to the satisfactory performance of the contract by the contractor.
