Federation University Australia is seeking to engage the supply, delivery and installation of a reputable, capable and experienced furniture supplier panel that meets the current Australian Standards and will offer goods and services as part of the Universities Furniture Catalogue via the Advanced Science warehouse portal. The university has engaged the services of Advanced Science Warehouse Ltd to provide catalogue content management services and to assist with the supplier on-boarding process.

This is a Pre-Qualification Tender all questions need to be answered and submission made by the Pre-qualification cut off date 20/03/2019, 4pm AEST.

Once successful suppliers have been qualified that supplier will receive access to the full tender. Submissions by the qualified suppliers must be made by no later than 12/04/2019, 4pm AEST.

Interested parties wishing to post questions may only do so through the University’s Tender Portal (Tender Search) Question Forum. Questions posed by this method will be brought to the attention of the Project Sponsor and their response distributed to all interested parties via the Tender Portal.

Unauthorised communication with University Staff or Representatives may lead to disqualification of interested party’s tender.
Question Close off date: 10/04/2019, 4pm AEST. No further questions will be accepted or replied to after this date.
Quality and Standards

The supplier will maintain specific quality assurance process and metrics in support of their products to ensure uniform quality accross Federation University purchases.

The supplier will ensure that any products supplied by them:

• comlpy with all relevant industry Australia standards where such exist such as AFRDI standards
• new and fit for the purpose for which they were supplied
• correspond with their descriptions
• free from any charge or encumbrance in favour of any third party
• do not infringe any third party's intellectual or other protected rights
• competitive pricing

The Supplier will not provide any of the products which are not in good condition or which do not comply with any express or implied Warranty given in relation to the products.

The Supplier will immediately notify Federation University in writing if it becomes aware of any Defect in any of the products.

Range of Items to be included in Federation University Science warehouse furniture catalogue

• Desks - lift desks, returns and modesty panels
• Screens - desk and floor mounted, accessories
• Electrical accessories - lamps, power rail, starter socket, umbilical cabling
• Storage - personal storage, caddies, mobile pedestals, team storage, filiing storage, tambour storage
• Chairs - task chairs, square back, mesh back, computer lab chair, multi-purpose chairs meeting, teaching
• Tables - meeting tables, tilt and roll tables
• Other loose furniture

Suppliers may provide submission for items that fall within their range of provision. Level 1 - Office and Commercial Furniture for University fit out. Level 2 - Project Based Furniture - Bespoke items, suppliers will be required to submit estimated freight charges for deliveries to all Federation University Campuses.

Federation University may select the same or similar item(s) from one or more suppliers.

The successful suppliers would be required to work closely with the nominated Federation University Representative to achieve the desired outcomes in the negotiated timeframe and with value for money.

In order to be considered as a conforming bid, bidders must provide all the documents listed as conforming. Nonconforming tenders representing unacceptable levels of risk may be excluded from further consideration.

All Mandatory requirements must be responded to as requested otherwise submission of the tender will be deemed exempt.
