306-2018-19 Defect Manager

⁠⁠⁠Defect Manager to monitor, coordinate and report on software and hardware defects detected as part of Testing and Quality Assurance (QA). The Defect Manager will champion standard defect management processes and coordinate with stakeholders ranging from leadership teams, engineers, project managers, and external vendors to drive timely resolution of defects.

The position will report to the Test Tools Manager.

This position will be working with Project Managers, Testers, Business Analysts, Developers (internal and external) and Deployment Managers.

* Manage QA defects across multiple streams and concurrent projects including status, ownership, timeline and regular updates.
* Implement and improve defect management process across the Robust program.
* Ensure compliance to the standard defect management process across all projects.
* Track and verify defects logged to ensure information quality and completeness.
* Organise and facilitate defect triage meetings across streams and projects.
* Coordinate with business, internal IT and vendor teams to drive timely resolution of defects.
* Review test evidence and results to verify defect resolution & re-test activities.
* Monitor and report on defect resolution progress using metrics and KPI.
* Develop regular and ad hoc reports for operational to executive levels.
* Present defect management progress to leadership teams and project managers.
* Suggest continuous improvements to the process and QA practice.
