MPHN needs assessment has identified disparities and issues within maternal and child health across the region and as a result require the development of a strategy to help address these.
The outcome of this funding initiative is the development of a maternal and child health strategy for the Murrumbidgee region, which will guide MPHN in partnership with Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) and other key stakeholders including service providers, families and communities in the development and implementation of services that systematically meet the needs of women in the pre and postnatal period, children and their families.
MPHN are seeking proposals from suitably experienced providers for the research and development of a maternal and child health strategy.
The development of this strategy will commence in January 2019.
