Tender Description
Meat & Livestock Australia is seeking Expressions of Interest (EoI) from interested parties to review the Bovine Livestock Language in line with recommendations from the Australian Beef Language Review White Paper. This group will be named the ‘Livestock Language Review Expert Group’.
The purpose of the ‘Livestock Language Review Expert Group’ includes:
* Reviewing and addressing each of the recommendations of Section 4 of the Beef Language Review White Paper.
* Subsequently provide recommendations for the creation of a section within the existing bovine livestock language to standardise terminology and ensure there are common descriptions across all trading and production categories.
* Provide recommendations on standardising the language used by all parties so that carcase and chiller assessment data can be linked to genetic evaluation programs.
Expressions of interest (EOIs) should be submitted to MLA addressing the selection criteria. EOIs should not exceed four pages, and be submitted electronically to Sarah Strachan COB 21 January 2019.
Decisions on the successful applicant will be communicated early in February. Appointment will take place shortly after this by signing a Letter of Appointment with MLA.
