Orange City has identified the need for a higher standard of tourist/caravan park in the city to support tourism growth and cover a gap in the current accommodation offering. Land was purchased on the eastern gateway to the city with this purpose in mind. The land comprises 16.1 hectares on the Mitchell Highway, Orange. This is a high profile site on the eastern gateway to the city.
This Expression of Interest process is more than just a land sale and Council will seek commitments on what type of development would be put forward.
Affiliation with nationally recognized tourist parks or significant experience in the sector will also be a consideration. Council envisages a star rating of four or above. To receive an EOI pack, email council@orange.nsw.gov.au with the subject line Orange Tourism Park EOI.
