This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
Automation testing role, working with cutting edge open source software projects delivering APIs across government.
You'll be working with BAs and Engineers to ensure the quality of business features and create automated tests.
The team is a well established product team with a successful track record of leading the way in government API integration.
The team are looking for a motivated and versatile automation tester with general engineering skills and QA experience testing REST APIs, rather than a professional with only skills in a specific high level automation tool. So, while skills in a specific product such as Soap UI or JMeter would be useful, it would not be sufficient for this role.
* Create and maintain functional automation tests using Java Cucumber, for regression and verification testing.
* Configure continuous integration jobs and related scripts for over-all test scenario orchestration, scheduling and reporting of automated test runs.
* Raise and monitor defect resolution, co-ordinate relevant test reports and test statistics as required.
* Automate functional and regression testing scenarios.
* Co-ordinate testing of features/releases with other team members, in particular, working closely with BAs and Engineers to understand requirements and how they need to be tested.
