Council seeks to engage the services of a suitably qualified contractor to undertake Union Road intersections upgrade works (Stage 3).
The delivery of six Union Road intersections of Maribyrnong Road (south), the Parade (west), Roxburgh Street, Munro Street, Bloomfield Road, Mirams and Francis Streets (north) as well as rearrangement of on-street parking bays and inter-bay planting in Ascot Vale.
Upgrade works consist of civil and landscape works associated with construction of new kerb alignment, raised pedestrian crossings, feature paving, custom and standard street furniture, new planter beds and soft landscaping works.
The upgrades to the front of Ascot Vale Neighbourhood Centre will be achieved by removing car parking spaces to extend the pedestrian zone and creates a small urban pocket with ample seating and soft landscaping in conjunction with a tram stop.
