Whole of Government Electricity Management Review
Tender ID: 364437
Tender Details
Tender Description
NSW Government aspires to be a role model in electricity management across its Clusters and assets portfolio by:
1.reducing its overall electricity-related costs;
2.reducing its electricity-related consumption and carbon emissions, to align with (and potentially completely offset) the policy targets;
3.ensuring reliable electricity supply and risks mitigation in compliance with regulation.
On behalf of NSW Government, NSW Procurement in collaboration with NSW Government Clusters, identified challenges and opportunities with the way electricity supply and energy efficiency initiatives are currently managed across the NSW Government portfolio.
To address these challenges and opportunities, NSW Procurement intends now to seek external support through this RFI-10204080 process to undertake a “Whole-of-Government (WofG) Electricity Management Review” (the Engagement) including the two following phases:
1.Phase 1 - WofG electricity opportunities diagnostic (across both electricity supply and electricity efficiency/demand mgt.)
2.Phase 2 - WofG electricity procurement strategy for the contract C777 “large sites electricity supply” (due to expire in June 2020) and for the other key opportunities identified in Phase 1
In scope for the Engagement are the:
* electricity supply – how NSW Government buys electricity;
* electricity efficiency/ demand management initiatives – how NSW Government can further reduce electricity consumption to align with (and potentially completely offset) the efficiency policies targets.
