NHMRC is seeking a provider who can provide Technical Services to deliver the New Grants Management System (NGMS), Sapphire.
The Technical Lead will be working with the existing New Grants Management System Team (Sapphire).
The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) is Australia’s leading expert body promoting the development and maintenance of public and individual health standards.
NHMRC brings together within a single national organisation the functions of research funding and development of advice. One of its strengths is that it draws upon the resources of all components of the health system, including governments, medical practitioners, nurses and allied health professionals, researchers, teaching and research institutions, public and private program managers, service administrators, community health organisations, social health researchers and consumers.
NHMRC’s current grants management solution, Research Grants Management System (RGMS), supports NHMRC’s entire grants management lifecycle. It facilitates members of the HMR community to submit grant applications, conduct assessments and manage their grants and NHMRC staff to administer the processes associated with the grants management lifecycle.
Consistent with the whole of Government initiative to streamline grants processes across agencies, NHMRC has been piloting the use of advanced analytics and algorithms to streamline both the grant application assessment and outcome reporting processes.
NHMRC’s successful development of the prototype applications, and specifically the pilot of the Research Impact and Assessment Application, proves the power of digitalisation to benefit NHMRC and the Government more widely in assessing the impacts of research Outcomes.
