The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) is an independent statutory body primarily responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools.
The VCAA is responsible for quality VCE curriculum and school-based assessment and each year oversees the development, conduct and marking of approximately 160 external assessments and the accurate and timely delivery of the VCE results to students across the State. In 2018 approximately 85,000 students will be enrolled in the VCE and complete one or more VCE external assessment.
The Authority is seeking to engage a single Contractor to project manage, deliver and be responsible for services that are to be undertaken as part of the online marking of a range of VCE external assessments, including the General Achievement Test (GAT) and selected VCE examinations.
Subject to there being a single point of contractual accountability, the Authority will consider Tenders that include consortium or joint ventures, and subcontracting arrangements. The contract(s) ultimately entered into between the Authority and a Tenderer will govern the terms of any such arrangement. It should be noted that the Authority must approve all sub-contractors prior to their engagement.
