Tender Description
Bathurst Regional Council wishes to explore options for the replacement of the eternal flame at the base of the Carillon. The current arrangement, a flame fueled by LP gas, releases soot within the carillon and over a period of time has been identified to accelerate the corrosion of electronic components that operate the carillon. In addition, the soot accumulates on all surfaces, which discolours internal brickwork and other porous surfaces and makes hard surfaces dirty to the touch.
Council is desirous of exploring alternate technologies, including improved LP gas systems, lighting, hologram or any other suitable system that will provide for an appropriate commemoration befitting the war memorial. 240V Single Phase electricity is available within the building.
