Expression of Interest - Cafe by the River (Wimmera River Horsham)

⁠⁠⁠Horsham Rural City Council is seeking expressions of interest from mobile café/food van operators to establish a “café by the river” in the vicinity of the Soundshell, Sawyer Park for a 12 month period.

Horsham’s Council Plan and ongoing community feedback has identified the Wimmera River as being one of the key attributes of the city.

Providing opportunities to activate the river to attract patronage and stimulate activity around the river corridor is a priority for Council and ensuring commercial activities within the Wimmera river corridor are compatible with the primary use of the corridor for environmental and recreation purposes. Council sees a “café by the river” as one way of achieving this.

Overall, Council’s objectives are to:
* Improve access and connectivity to and around the Wimmera River corridor
* Promote the Wimmera River corridor as a key community recreational asset
* Utilise the Wimmera River corridor to contribute to Horsham’s economy
* Incorporate and showcase local produce

Expressions of Interest remain open until 12 noon Monday 18 June 2018.
