Community Centre Strategy
Council has 41 Community Centres available for hire. At present the portfolio is inconsistent in their asset condition, not necessarily in best locations, and it is unknown if they are meeting the wider community needs for now and into the future.

Council is undertaking to complete this strategy in order to provide a framework for the strategic and operational management of the Northern Beaches Community Centres. This project will investigate the current community centre business and the future needs of the community in relation to community centre usage.

Council's objective is to provide and support the centres to be active and inclusive places according to the Community Strategic Plan. A well-managed network of modern, compliant accessible community centres helps to bring communities together, and will achieve the wider objectives of creating a safe, inclusive and connected community.

Northern Beaches Council is seeking a suitably qualified consulting firm to develop a Strategic Plan for the Northern Beaches Council Community Centres.

The consultant is to develop a framework for the strategic and operational management of the Northern Beaches Community Centres. This project will investigate the current community centre business, including both Council and non-Council buildings available for hire, and the future needs of the community in relation to community centre usage.

The Contract term will be approximately 8 months with the expected commencement of works in June 2018 and the expected completion of works by February 2019.
